"Loved it!"

Man, I enjoyed this one better than the Double Dragon series they had out in the mid to late 90s (the show where they wore those dragon masks and carried swords, which was NOT the way the original version was. Or was it?).

Animation was fluid, effects were solid, plot was straight to the point. The only things I disliked were:

1) The intro. Not sold on the voice narration or what was being said. I don't think it did anything for the plot, either.

2) I wish you could have introduced the characters somehow. Maybe if it was just a freeze frame on each character, only to reveal their names, powers, brief description, etc.

Overall, VERY solid effort! After seeing this piece, I am definitely a fan of your work and can't wait to see more!

"WOW..."

You know at first, I was going to give this No Stars. I'm totally against domestic abuse / violence, and I doubt that I'd ever watch this piece again. However, all bias aside, this piece is probably one of the most important pieces on NG.

For once, a NG animator had a purpose behind the blood, gore, and extreme violence. I often feel like animators show gore just because they can, or just its some kind of personal thrill. Not this one, though. AND...this is THE first piece where the music MARRIES the animation, and not once did I get irritated with it. I actually found myself pulled into the story, wondering what was going to happen next and pulling for the wife and child the whole time!

Overall, this one sent chills all over me...especially in the beginning where the woman was trying to be affectionate toward her husband, and it ended up exactly the opposite. This piece stirred me emotionally, and though hard to watch, I bet that it was even more of challenge for the artist to animate this piece. This is more than a classic...it's New Ground's first epic!

Very conceptual!
Put me in the mind of an animated "Run Lola Run."
Now this is ANIMATION...everything was inked and rendered perfectly. My only quarrel is that it wasn't in English. But there again, some of my favorite works are "foreign."

BRILLIANT! The colors, the use of light, the characters, the backgrounds, the abstract plot, THE ARTISTIC DIRECTION...everything was brilliant. You have successfully blended cult animation, contemporary music, and abstration with pop art! I would love to see you further develop this piece!

By far some of the best animation I've seen on NG. Animation was very fluid, the setting was perfect (it put me in the mind of an epic war...think WWII), and the character was a CHARACTER!!!

Two things kept this from being a 10 in my book.

1) Wish you would have included sound effects. This would have rounded the project out.
2) I really didn't get why you called it "Polution." Is the character's name "Pollution," or is it because it looked like he died from stranglation...which could be conveyed as "Pollution?" If the latter, I think you could have included more of a smokey, ruined, and polluted backdrop for this piece.

"I liked it..."

The background art was probably the best element about this piece! They were nicely done. The characters seemed a bit rigid to me...I wish they could have been more developed and fleshed out. The storyline moved very slow, and I found myself drifting toward the middle.

Overall though, you've presented a conceptual piece that moreso proves that you can accomplish even bigger tasks...something that a lot of animators fail to do. I'm a fan of your ability, and am looking forward to some bigger and better animations from you!

"A Great Start"

I'll give it 7 stars.

It was a breath of fresh air to see something other than a samurai or an anime-like hero. On the other hand, it did seem a bit Batman-ish and I would have liked to see him fight a villain who stood a chance. But that's what the next episodes are for right?
